September 2025 Updates!

I have been having a little hard time trying to figure out how to best deliver my updates. If you haven’t already know, I am managing a little business to publish not only my books but also board games. I often find myself fragmented because I’m not too sure how to best deliver all the updates I need to deliver without rambling about unrelated topics. TLDR, I don’t want to talk about board games when you are looking forward to my writing. And I don’t want to talk about my writing when you are looking forward to my board game.

Soon enough, I found out that it’s just impossible. There are months when I have to focus more on publishing my board game and so my writing have to take a little bit of a back seat. There are also months when the reverse is true. And so to avoid giving the impression of zero progress at a topic, I figured that it’s best to give all the updates in a single video.

Unhallowed Crown #1 – Beta Reader Feedbacks

Feedback I received so far has been really great! I am officially closing the feedback window because I will now begin working on a 4th Draft for A Crown for the Promised. I expect only minor changes—polishing up some rougher scenes. Honestly, reading stranger’s reactions as they read your work has been a touching experience. The critiques were helpful, and I’m sure it will help me in the coming draft. And the praises… Gosh the praises has been the best so far. They always made my day.

Unhallowed Crown #2

Well August is a more board game oriented month because I had 2 conventions to attend. I didn’t manage to put in much writing going on for the first draft of Unhallowed Crown #2. I clocked in to 4000 words. Which is about 2% increase to the manuscript.

Reading Journeys

I didn’t manage to read a lot these few months unfortunately… I am in the middle of reading Oathbringer by Brandon Sanderson and well that’s a thick book. Also, Superman just came out and that movie was so good I’ve been over-consuming DC products these days. So lots of movies… but not enough books. Anyway, there is 1 book I managed to complete!

A Crowdfunder’s Strategy Guide by Jamey Stegmaier

Rating: 5 out of 5.

Business

2015

This book was recommended to me by someone I met in a convention. I kind of binged it. There are really good insight to the board game industry in this book and also a very interesting mindset Jamey has towards crowdfunding. It’s definitely a must read for those who wishes to use crowdfunding as a platform to sell their work.
